This role requires a dynamic individual who can provide a comprehensive range of legal services related to estate planning, elder law, guardianship, and special needs planning. The successful candidate will be a senior associate or partner with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the legal industry and a member in good standing of the Maryland Bar. This position requires a high degree of proficiency in legal research and writing, and a deep knowledge of trusts, wills, probate, tax law, asset protection, and wealth preservation planning.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As an Estate Planning Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Advising clients on estate planning, elder law, guardianship, and special needs planning.
2. Drafting a wide variety of legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
3. Administering estates and trusts, including probate proceedings.
4. Providing legal advice on a wide range of issues related to wealth preservation and asset protection.
5. Conducting thorough legal research and staying updated on the latest laws and regulations in the field.
6. Providing client counseling and maintaining strong client relationships.
7. Ensuring legal compliance in all activities and processes.
8. Handling matters related to family law, corporate law, and intellectual property when necessary.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Maryland Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 6+ years of experience as an Estate Planning Attorney.
4. Extensive experience in estate administration, elder law, guardianship, and special needs planning.
5. Proven experience as a senior associate or partner in a law firm.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Proficient in drafting legal documents and providing legal advice.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of trusts, wills, probate, tax law, asset protection, and wealth preservation planning.
9. Experience in client counseling and maintaining strong client relationships.
10. Familiarity with family law, corporate law, and intellectual property.
11. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
