Job Details

Collaborate with attorneys on estate planning, trust/estate administration, wealth transfers

Draft and file probate pleadings, creditor notices, inventories, and accountings

Prepare and file deeds and transfer affidavits

Assist with drafting Form 706 (Estate Tax) and Form 709 (Gift Tax)

Form new entities, handle EINs, and manage annual filings

Draft POAs, healthcare directives, and other foundational estate docs

Coordinate with clients to gather documentation and ensure accuracy

Work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint — basic tech competence expected

Be organized, proactive, and thoughtful — this is high-touch work for high-profile clients

What You’ll Need:

3+ years of estate planning/trust & estate administration experience

Paralegal training or equivalent bachelor’s degree (legal admin, finance, poli sci, business)

Sharp attention to detail and an ability to juggle multiple priorities

Clear, professional communication — you’ll be talking to attorneys and clients alike

Proofreading instincts, follow-through, and a genuine sense of ownership over your work

Comfortable working on-site in Detroit with flexibility for hybrid work
