- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and revise legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Review and analyze legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is readily accessible for attorneys.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation, maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service at all times.
- Assist attorneys in the probate process, including preparing probate documents, managing estate assets, and communicating with beneficiaries and creditors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in estate planning, probate, and tax law.
- Collaborate with the legal team to streamline processes, improve client service, and achieve firm objectives.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field. A paralegal certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate planning, probate, or tax law.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality legal documents.
- Strong working knowledge of legal documentation and document preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with case management procedures and systems, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent client relations skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional service.
- In-depth understanding of trusts, wills, probate procedures, and tax law.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
