Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a variety of heavy civil projects including dry and wet utilities, culvert installations, mass grading, and roadway reconstruction. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating
Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools
Strong understanding of civil plans, grading, and utility infrastructure
Excellent communication and organizational skills
HCSS, Bid2Win or other civil estimating software
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Quantify material, labor, and equipment needs for utility, grading, and roadway scopes
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Prepare and present bid packages, cost breakdowns, and value engineering options
- Support project handoff and preconstruction planning
