We are a full-service, self-perform, heavy civil contractor regarded for completing high-quality construction projects. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Estimator with a background in heavy civil construction. The Senior Estimator will be based in our Centennial, Colorado office and manage all aspects of developing cost estimates for large heavy civil projects involving structures, as well as be responsible for developing cost estimates for projects involving earthwork and underground utilities.

Job Details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and procure projects to bid.
Prepare cost estimates on civil projects ranging from $250K to $100M.
Ability to utilize bidding software efficiently (i.e. – HCSS Heavy Bid, Hard Dollar, Etc.).
Develop professional relationships with material vendors and subcontractors.
Participates in staff meetings, planning and forecasting.
Lead bid review with superintendents and project managers.
Regularly visit jobsites to gain a firm understanding of site conditions and/or restrictions.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
A bachelor’s degree in construction management or Engineering and/or 3-4+ years civil construction estimating experience
Ability to perform and price quantity takeoff for Earthwork and Civil Utility scopes
Ability to quantify risks on individual projects and plan to minimize those risks and their impact
A firm understanding and ability to keep up to date with current municipal construction specifications and details
Exceptional organizational, communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in the following construction software systems (or the like) desired:
HCSS Heavy Bid
HCSS Heavy Job
Plan swift Take Off or Equal
Foundation Accounting Software or equal
AGTEK (required)
Knowledge of street and highway traffic rules and regulations, and safety precautions to be observed in working on or near highways and in busy urban areas
