Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from first estimate through formalization of subcontracts.
  • Determine scope of work and required contents of estimates by reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, attending pre-estimate meetings, and analyzing request for proposals/bid requirements.
  • Provide complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
  • Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids.
  • Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and labor figures.
  • Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
  • Track awarded contracts as required including estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials on major work items.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field of study
  • 3+ years of direct estimating experience at a General Contractor working on large-scale ($40+ MIL) commercial and/or multifamily projects
  • Previous estimating experience with negotiated bids, hard bids, and CMP process
  • Working knowledge of design development, estimating, construction drawings, costs and principles.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite as well as estimating software (BuildingConnected, Timberline, or similar).
