The Permanent Estimator for Concrete in the Construction industry is an integral part of our team, responsible for accurately assessing the cost of concrete-related projects. This role involves the use of various skills including concrete grinding, polishing, dyeing, staining, joint filling, joint sealing, repair, and restoration. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of the construction industry, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete-related projects, including grinding, polishing, dyeing, staining, joint filling, joint sealing, repair, and restoration.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Participate in bid processes, ensuring all bids are submitted on time and are accurate.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with concrete grinding, polishing, dyeing, staining, joint filling, joint sealing, repair, and restoration.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including materials, labor, and equipment to be used in various processes.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding building codes and regulations.
- Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
