Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs, as well as the ability to analyze project requirements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial, industrial, church, and municipal construction projects.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
Monitor project costs and provide cost control support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial projects.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
