Job Details
Responsibilities
+ Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing estimates using industry-standard tools and internal systems.
+ Review drawings, specs, and project updates to ensure full scope coverage and cost accuracy.
+ Develop proposal letters, evaluate vendor quotes, and verify compliance with project requirements.
+ Collaborate with business development and project management teams to qualify scope, pricing, and value-engineering options.
+ Maintain bid databases, vendor relationships, and organized project files.
+ Support project handoff to operations teams and mentor junior estimators.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Qualifications
+ 3+ years of MEP estimating experience required.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
+ Strong understanding of piping, plumbing, and sheet metal systems.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
