  • Enter material details—sizes, lengths, grades, coatings, and pricing—into Tekla Power Fab.
  • Request and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing from vendors.
  • Estimate shop labor requirements and costs.
  • Consolidate all cost elements into a comprehensive summary and review with the General Manager to assess risks, opportunities, and profit margins.
  • Coordinate with clients before bidding to clarify scope and develop bid strategies.
  • Follow up with clients regarding submitted bids and maintain active communication.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a database of unit prices and parametric assemblies for recurring products.
  • Prepare and lead detailed project turnover meetings with Project Managers after securing contracts.
  • Provide budgeting assistance to customers during early project stages.
  • Attend customer pre-bid meetings to gather project details.
  • Support Project Managers with change order pricing when needed.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in post-project review meetings to analyze successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience estimating miscellaneous metals.
  • Proficiency in Tekla Power Fab preferred.
  • Experience with BlueBeam is a plus.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
