Job Details
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and institutional projects from conceptual through final bid stage.
- Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients to develop realistic budgets and schedules.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including soliciting and analyzing bids.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, value engineering, and risk analysis.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; on-screen takeoff experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3-10 years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a general contractor strongly preferred.
