Job Details

Upon award prepare necessary pre-job planning tools like project specific safety plan with Safety Manager
Work with site Superintendent on project accountability and execution of scope, deliverables, implementation, profitability, quality, and resources.
Interface and manage customer relations in business, technical and sales environment
Prepare schedule of values on budget constraints
Prepare schedule
Schedule Pre-Job planning meeting with customer and management. Write the agenda and lead the meeting
Price and submit change orders for out of scope work and enter into Log
Attend progress meetings with customer
Report to management periodically about the schedule and budget profitability

Estimator

Prepare estimates in format designated by customer
Prepare Take off materials from drawings and specifications
Request material, equipment and specialty equipment pricing from vendors
Prepare request for quotes from sub-contractors for services that we don’t self-perform.
Calculate labor rates and Manpower for entire job including mob and de-mob
Enter estimates with mark ups for material, equipment and subcontractor into bid documents
Hold bid review meeting with management.
Submit bids to customer including bid bonds if required.

Estimator

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Journeyman Lineman license or related electrical construction experience.
BS or MS degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required
Good working knowledge of construction codes and safety standards
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Foundation Software
Organization, planning, and prioritizing work
Communicating with customers, supervisors, crews and or peers
Leadership skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
