Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary duty is to determine overall pricing for commercial reroofing projects.
- Complete take-offs from bid documents, Scopes of Work, field notes, and other pertinent sources. Primary take-off tool is Roof CAD.
- Solicit material quotes from manufacturers and suppliers.
- Communicate with sales department to develop Scopes of Work and recommend best practices.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Complete base estimate and options. Primary pricing tool is customized Excel spreadsheets.
- Provide value engineering ideas.
- Review pricing with estimating manager/upper management.
- Assist in compiling bid package and sales binders.
- Compile customized production package for jobs sold.
- Stay current with industry standards, processes, and techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 years minimum experience in commercial roof estimating
- Knowledge of single ply, modified bitumen, asphalt, shingle, and standing seam assemblies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Roof CAD knowledge a plus.
