We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator-Tenant Improvement to join our team in the Construction industry. This role is pivotal in our organization, as it involves managing all aspects of cost estimation for tenant improvement projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win projects. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
2. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
3. Manage the bid process from receipt of construction documents to submission of the bid, including bid solicitation, quantity take-off, pricing, and bid proposal completion.
4. Use Procore and Excel software to optimize estimation processes and maintain records.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that we receive the best quality, price, and speed.
6. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
7. Prepare and present cost reports and pricing recommendations to company leadership and clients.
8. Work closely with project teams to monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 1+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with a focus on tenant improvements.
3. Proficient in using construction software like Procore and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
