Estimator

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Estimator in the Precast industry. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills in estimating, drawings, takeoffs, precast & prestress, and concrete to make a significant impact on our company and clients. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate and competitive estimates for projects in the construction industry. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity takeoffs for select trades.
• Understand and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Utilize your knowledge of precast and prestress concrete to provide accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather information necessary for estimates.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and present estimate reports or bids for appropriate approval.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to improve estimation accuracy.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and create mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in the mortgage industry.
• Strong understanding of precast, prestress, concrete, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in quantity takeoffs and cost estimating.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in using estimation software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
