We are seeking an Estimator to join our team. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals who are passionate about building and creating. This role is the backbone of our construction projects, ensuring that we can deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in underground utilities, site grading, structural concrete, asphalt and a solid grasp of construction software programs.

Responsibilities:

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
2. Evaluating and analyzing site grading, structural concrete, and asphalt work.
3. Utilizing software such as HCSS and B2Win for project estimation and management.
4. Reviewing and understanding project specifications, drawings, and contractual terms.
5. Conducting risk and opportunity assessments to mitigate potential project pitfalls.
6. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
7. Maintaining current knowledge of market trends, pricing, and construction processes.
8. Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on underground utilities, site grading, mass ex, structural concrete
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
4. Proficiency in using estimating software like HCSS and B2Win.
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
