We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about the construction industry and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be a vital part of our team, providing essential financial and cost management support to our construction projects. This role will involve working closely with project managers and other key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
2. Conducting thorough cost analysis and preparing financial reports for management.
3. Creating and managing project budgets, ensuring that all financial aspects are accurately tracked and reported.
4. Overseeing contract management, including negotiating contracts, reviewing contract terms and conditions, and resolving any contract-related issues.
5. Utilizing Microsoft Office suite to create spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
6. Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project costs and financial status.
7. Participating in project bidding processes, including preparing bid documents, analyzing bids, and making recommendations.
8. Coordinating with construction management team to ensure that all financial aspects of the project are aligned with the overall project plan.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in cost management and cost analysis.
3. Strong budgeting skills and experience managing large project budgets.
4. Experience in contract management, including negotiating contracts and resolving contract-related issues.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
7. Experience in project bidding and construction management.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
10. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
