Job Details

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
2. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and team members to develop comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bids.
3. Manage all aspects of contract administration, including negotiation, procurement, and scheduling.
4. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop contingency plans.
5. Maintain and update a cost database to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information is used in estimates.
6. Prepare and present cost reports, including budgeting and job costing.
7. Utilize Microsoft Office and Excel for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
8. Foster relationships with clients and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and repeat business.
9. Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies to stay competitive.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 1+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
4. Excellent negotiation and procurement skills.
5. Ability to analyze financial data and produce cost estimates.
6. Strong sales and account management skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
10. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
