Requirements:
- MUST HAVE: Luxury Experience: Prior experience in upscale markets
- Kitchen Management: Responsible for overseeing kitchen and banquet area production, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure consistent high-quality food output and adherence to the operating budget.
- Recipe Repository: Maintain a comprehensive recipe file detailing ingredients, portions, and preparation instructions for all menu items.
- Portion Control Standards: Establish portion control methods for menu items, taking into account perceived value.
- Assist the Executive Chef
- Consistency: Ensure strict adherence to all recipes to maintain a consistent food experience.
- Leadership in the Kitchen: Assume responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor daily inventory levels to maintain optimal supply levels and quality.
- Vendor Relationships: Maintain adherence to company specifications when dealing with vendors and negotiating vendor agreements.
- Staff Support: Assist in creating job descriptions for each kitchen position, specifying required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Requirements:
- Culinary Education: A culinary degree or equivalent training in the Hospitality/Restaurant Industry is a must.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required.
- Food Safety Certification: Preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
