We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Machine Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically within the food industry, and will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines to ensure the efficient running of production. This role involves working on a sit-down forklift, handling food packaging, and ensuring all operations are carried out in accordance with our high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain machinery in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
2. Set up machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operation.
3. Monitor and control machines during production, adjusting settings as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.
4. Use sit-down forklift to move materials and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
5. Perform regular checks of the machines to ensure optimal performance and detect malfunctions in a timely manner.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
7. Adhere to all food safety protocols during the packaging process, ensuring that products are packaged in a clean and sanitary manner.
8. Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
9. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.
3. Valid certification to operate a sit-down forklift.
4. Strong knowledge of machine operation and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
5. Proven experience in food packaging, with a thorough understanding of food safety protocols and regulations.
