We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to utilize and expand your maintenance skills. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, efficiency, and safety of our manufacturing facilities. This includes working on a variety of systems and equipment such as HVAC, electrical systems, drywall, painting, forklifts, and panels. If you have a strong background in facility maintenance and a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of a manufacturing facility, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal operation conditions.
2. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to the various systems and components.
3. Responsible for maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, HVAC repairs and adjustments, electrical installations, drywall repair, painting, and handling forklifts.
4. Perform regular facility inspections to identify and fix potential problems proactively.
5. Ensure that all work performed adheres to all company safety and quality standards.
6. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies, and prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
7. Work closely with the operations team to prioritize maintenance and repair work in the facility.
8. Participate in safety meetings and training, and provide recommendations for improvements to existing processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, working with electrical systems, drywall, painting, forklifts, and panels.
3. Technical certification or degree in a related field is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of the principles and practices used in mechanical and electrical maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
5. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
6. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong safety awareness and history of adherence to safety procedures.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and manage time effectively.
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Must be physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary.
12. Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours as required.
