The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child/spousal support, equitable distribution, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, domestic violence, and related family law issues.

Job Details

You will work closely with clients, providing compassionate guidance while delivering sharp legal strategy and representation in and out of court.

Responsibilities
✅ Represent clients in family law matters, including litigation, mediation, and negotiation.
✅ Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
✅ Conduct legal research and stay up to date on changes in family law statutes and case law.
✅ Advise clients on their legal rights, obligations, and options throughout the case.
✅ Appear in court for hearings, trials, and conferences.
✅ Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys in the firm.
✅ Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and manage client expectations.

Qualifications
✔ Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
✔ Admitted and in good standing with the New York and/or New Jersey State Bar.
✔ Minimum 3–5 years of family law experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience).
✔ Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
✔ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
✔ Empathy, patience, and the ability to work with clients during emotionally difficult times.
✔ Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
