Description:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and dedicated Family Law Litigation Associate to join our esteemed legal team. This is a permanent position that requires a passion for family law and an unwavering commitment to represent and advocate for our clients in a variety of challenging family law cases. The ideal candidate will have experience OR an interest in getting into family law litigation . This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a supportive environment while dealing with complex and rewarding family law cases.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings related to divorce, child custody, child support, visitation rights, and other family law matters.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and agreements.
3. Conduct thorough case analysis and develop effective litigation strategies.
4. Negotiate settlements in a timely manner to resolve disputes efficiently.
5. Attend hearings and trials, presenting arguments and evidence as necessary.
6. Conduct and coordinate discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
7. Provide compassionate and effective counsel to clients during challenging times.
8. Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to family law.
9. Collaborate with legal staff and partners to ensure a seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Experience in litigation.
3. Active member of the Alabama (AL) state bar in good standing.
4. Proven track record in handling child support cases and conducting hearings.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve cases favorably.
6. Strong research and analytical skills to handle complex legal issues.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
10. Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
12. Empathy and the ability to understand clients' needs during difficult times.
