We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Family Law Litigation Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will specialize in various aspects of family law including child support, child custody, divorce, and prenuptial agreements. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned litigator with a deep understanding of family law, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advocating for clients during challenging times. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned litigator with a deep understanding of family law, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advocating for clients during challenging times. This position will offer a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes family law cases and to shape the lives of families.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court proceedings related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, and prenuptial agreements.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the client's full legal rights.
- Provide legal advice to clients concerning family law matters.
- Negotiate settlements in a manner that is in the best interest of the client.
- Develop strategies, arguments, and testimonies in preparation for presentation of the case.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Maintain a strong client relationship with professionalism and understanding of their emotional needs.
- Continuously update knowledge on legislation changes and precedents.
- Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in family law litigation.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida
- Proven experience in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, and prenuptial agreements.
- Excellent litigation skills with the ability to resolve disputes rather than escalating them.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical and professional standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Deep understanding of research methods and legal terminologies.
- Strong understanding of state and federal laws related to family law.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal research software and platform such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Compassionate and understanding with a strong ability to empathize with clients during difficult times.
