As a Permanent Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be a critical member of our healthcare team, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across their lifespan. Your focus will be on preventive care, health education, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, and ensuring overall wellness of your patients. This role demands a high level of autonomy, yet is deeply collaborative as you will work in tandem with physicians, specialists, and healthcare staff. This is a part-time, permanent position requiring 1+ years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner. They need someone to work the weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Diagnose and manage a wide array of health issues, both common and complex.
- Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop patient care plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies.
- Provide health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Manage the ongoing care of patients, and track and evaluate their health outcomes.
- Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all the professional and state regulations.
- Maintain a focus on quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.
- Utilize electronic health record system to document patient care, and participate in data collection for quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, yet function collaboratively within a team.
- High degree of empathy, compassion, and integrity.
- Continuous learner, who stays updated with latest trends in healthcare.
- Proficient in electronic health record system.
