Job Details
The Family Office Tax Associate will support a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients by providing accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration, and family office support services. This role offers broad exposure to complex financial matters and requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a client-service mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Family Office & Accounting Services
Manage bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients
Process payroll and oversee bill payment activities
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Assist with mortgage applications and insurance placements
Support various client-specific financial projects and initiatives
Client Service & Financial Administration
Provide business management and financial concierge services
Serve as a trusted point of contact for client requests and inquiries
Assist clients with a wide range of financial and administrative needs
Support ongoing financial organization and planning efforts
Financial Reporting
Prepare customized client reports
Generate financial statements and spending analyses
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with budgeting and cash flow reporting as needed
Specialized Projects
Support forensic accounting engagements related to matrimonial and litigation matters
Assist in analyzing financial records and preparing findings
Create presentations and supporting documentation for attorneys and court proceedings
Participate in ad hoc projects for clients and internal teams
Process Improvement & Operations
Develop and maintain written procedures and process documentation
Create client-specific operating manuals and workflows
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk
Provide administrative and operational support to the broader team
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or family office experience
Prior experience within a Family Office, Business Management Firm, CPA Firm, or similar environment is required
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience supporting high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients
Exposure to family office operations and financial administration
Experience with forensic accounting or complex financial reporting
