We are a family owned and operated agribusiness. We have been developing a wide range of solutions for agriculture's producers and processors alike since 1975. We offer agriculture contracts for seed corn and cucumbers for farmers and processors.
We are currently in need of an experienced Field Production and Plant Lead who will be responsible for the management and production of hybrid seed corn, as well as operations including drying, grading, sorting, bagging, testing, sampling and plant maintenance.

Job Details
Experience:
plant maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
agriculture: 3 years (Required)
farm equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop strong working relationships and effectively communicate with growers and detasseling contractors.
Scout fields, identify potential hazards such as pest or insect infestations.
Hands on with the setup, operation and post season clean up of various pieces of farm equipment at the plant, to facilitate harvest and conditioning operations.
Operate and maintain field and plant equipment including detasseling machines and forklifts.
Comply with company and customer regulations and policies
Report all health and safety concerns or deviations to supervisory management.
Supervise Field Production Assistants and machine operators with a special emphasis in regards to safety and quality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Associate’s degree or 3+ years equivalent experience in the agricultural field.
Must have a valid driver’s license – CDL or willing to obtain a CDL
Candidate MUST be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with high drive to be able to focus in high temperature and dirtyconditions and exposure to the elements.
Able to adapt to changing situations on a daily basis.
Basic math skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to drive a fork truck.
Excellent communication skills - organization is the key to a successful work environment.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License or ability to pass testing to acquire license.
Mechanical aptitude with field equipment and general plant maintenance abilities.
Computer skills helpful.
Must have knowledge of health and safety standards pertaining to the agricultural infrastructure (training provided).
