Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Commission, install, test, and start up mining and material processing equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
Conduct equipment inspections, performance testing, and operational assessments.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Remove, repair, overhaul, and replace major machine components.
Service bearings, gears, seals, fluid couplings, shafts, wear components, and drive systems.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend operational improvements.
Provide technical training and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and engineering teams.
Prepare field reports and document equipment findings and improvement opportunities.
Work safely in industrial environments including mines, quarries, confined spaces, and elevated work areas.
Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and retrofit projects.
Assist with spare parts recommendations and maintenance contract opportunities.
Travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally to support customer sites.
Qualifications Needed:
Technical degree, Associate's degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of field service, maintenance, commissioning, or heavy industrial equipment experience.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing large industrial, mining, aggregate, quarry, material handling, crushing, conveying, or processing equipment.
Strong background in mechanical systems including bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, seals, and rotating equipment.
Experience with hydraulic, electromechanical, and electrical systems.
Proven ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis in the field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Experience performing equipment installations, startups, commissioning, and customer support activities.
Comfortable working in physically demanding industrial environments.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including international travel.
Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills.
