Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician with strong experience in heavy equipment, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting. This role involves working on custom-designed machinery, diagnosing issues in the field, and performing repairs or maintenance as needed. Travel to customer site in the Connecticut and Massachusetts area.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy custom equipment
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
Troubleshoot and program PLC-based control systems
Ensure timely and accurate field service reports and documentation
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding service status and solutions
Maintain and manage tools, parts, and service vehicles
Travel regularly to client sites in CT and MA and occasionally beyond, as needed
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical schematics
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must have a clean driving record
Must pass a drug test and background check
Strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service skills
Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Louisiana
Preferred:
Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or related field
Experience working with custom-built machinery or specialized equipment
