Join our dynamic team as a Permanent Field Service Technician and play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and technologies. As a Permanent Field Service Technician, you will be directly involved in maintaining, installing, and repairing critical machinery such as compressors, generators, and pumps. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance on various types of machinery, including compressors, generators, and pumps, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
2. Install new machinery and equipment accurately and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
3. Diagnose and repair issues with machinery and equipment, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to ensure swift resolution.
4. Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain complex technical issues, and provide solutions.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
6. Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Keep abreast of new technologies, tools, and best practices in the field, continuously seeking to improve skills and performance.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with maintenance, installation, and repair of compressors, generators, and pumps.
3. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
4. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide outstanding service.
5. Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Knowledge of current industry standards and best practices.
8. Willingness to keep up to date with new technologies and trends in the field.
9. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
10. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
