As a Field Services Engineer/Technician (Electrical) you will work within our Field Service team to assist in developing and testing electronic components and systems, permanent/installed monitoring systems, instrumentation and short-term deployment of specialized data collecting systems.
Engineers/Technicians in this role, apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics. Work is primarily in the field, offshore or in shipyards, usually under general supervision.
Duties Include
This role is Houston based (77066 zip code). When not in the field, duties include preparing materials for offshore work, systems build, and other related work. Offshore trips are usually 5 days. When not offshore, schedule is flexible/hybrid.
Must Haves:
You must be able to work independently, and in a team environment. You must have the ability to engage in multiple projects, a demonstrated working knowledge/experience with analog and digital electronics, and data acquisition systems. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, LabView, MATLAB and C++ are advantageous.
Field Engineers must have a minimum 3 years of work experience, Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Technology or a related field. Experience with analog and digital electronics, analog instrumentation, signal conditioning, data communication and transmission.
Field Technicians need a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a related field, an Associates in Electronics Technology or Electronic Instrumentation or related field or combination of education and experience. Certificate from a recognized trade school or ROP program will be considered.
A valid TWIC card / BOSIET certificate will be necessary.

Duties Include
- Working with Service Engineers or Project Engineers to understand the scope of work
- Preparing for offshore installation service trips – assembling tools, equipment, packing
- Assembly of Electrical and Mechanical systems and sub-systems in lab
- Performing Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA) in field
- Performing maintenance service, repair - offshore oil platforms
- Preform diagnostic of hardware and software
- Generation of Trip Reports
- 10-12 hour days expected when working in shipyards or offshore
