Job Details
As Field Superintendent, your job will include the following responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Lead daily on-site operations with a focus on safety, scheduling, logistics, and maintaining high construction standards
- Provide regular updates on project progress through clear verbal communication and written documentation during stakeholder meetings
- Stay current on industry trends and evolving best practices to continually improve project execution
- Manage and supervise all on-site personnel activities, maintaining strong collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers
- Partner with the project team throughout all phases—from early planning to final turnover—to ensure cohesive execution
- Optimize the allocation of labor, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency
- Serve as the primary liaison with municipal inspectors, ensuring timely coordination of inspections and consistent communication from project start to finish
Qualifications
- 7+ years of related experience. Commercial and multi-family experience preferred.
- Possess strong computer skills: proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Procore, Microsoft Project, etc
- Understand construction scheduling and sequencing, and cost control.
- Strong leadership skills, able to lead and manage teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees. o Attention to detail is paramount; extremely organized and able to prioritize
- Knowledge of, and ability to demonstrate, established construction practices, procedures, and techniques
- Ability to understand blueprints, plans specifications, safety standards, shop drawings, work orders, budget, change orders, submittals, manufacturer’s literature, and specifications.
- Thorough understanding of applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
