A leading electrical services provider is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its team in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is a hands-on field role for someone who isn’t afraid to tackle everything from transformer and generator work to electrical utility testing and relay troubleshooting.
You’ll be working on a wide variety of electrical systems in industrial and utility environments, with travel assignments that never exceed 3–4 weeks at a time. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically strong, and thrives in fieldwork settings.

Job Details
Perform testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems and components
Work on transformers, generators, switchgear, relays, and protective systems
Conduct electrical utility testing and field diagnostics
Test and troubleshoot protective relays and control systems in the field
Use equipment such as power analyzers, relay test sets, and other diagnostic tools
Follow safety regulations and industry standards (NFPA 70E, IEEE, ANSI)
Document test results, generate reports, and communicate findings with clients
Provide technical support and represent the company professionally in the field
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent field experience)
3+ years of experience in the electrical field service, power distribution, or industrial systems
Proficiency with electrical test equipment and diagnostics
Hands-on experience with relays, generators, transformers, and electrical utility systems
Ability to work independently, problem-solve on-site, and manage your own schedule
Strong attention to detail and safety
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Preferred qualifications:
EIT or FE certification (or in progress)
Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, and automation controls
Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles
Work on transformers, generators, switchgear, relays, and protective systems
