We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in the Engineering industry. This permanent role requires a highly organized individual who can handle a variety of tasks in an evolving and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking costs, forecasting budgets, managing contracts and invoices, and handling financial reporting. This role is not just about crunching numbers - it's about providing strategic financial insights that will drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track project costs to ensure they align with budgeted expectations.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
  • Forecast and prepare annual budgets, in conjunction with department heads.
  • Review and manage contracts, invoices, purchase orders, check requests, and vendor payments.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, to analyze financial data and produce reports.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar financial analyst role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven experience in tracking costs, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing contracts, invoices, purchase orders, check requests, and vendor payments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with contractors.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to provide strategic insights.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
