As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions. You will work closely with leaders across the Engineering sector to develop and maintain financial models, analyze budget variances, and provide financial reports. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions. You will work closely with leaders across the Engineering sector to develop and maintain financial models, analyze budget variances, and provide financial reports. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues including valuation, profitability, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze and interpret financial data and compile statistical reports on current financial developments, financial policies and plans, and significant organizational developments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow analysis, and forecasts.
- Assist in the creation of the annual budget and financial planning process.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather information, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic/business plan and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other functions to perform data analysis and manipulation.
- Manage the preparation of ledger entries and reconciliations by compiling and analyzing account information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, manufacturing accounting, or a related field, preferably in the Engineering industry.
- Proficient in financial software and database applications.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Vlookup and pivot tables.
- Experience with FP&A, cash flow analysis, and ledger management.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable manner to all levels of staff.
- Proven ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
