Join our team as a Consulting Financial Analyst in the Educational/Technology industry. This is a dynamic role for candidates who have a passion for finance and technology, and are looking to make a significant impact on business decisions. The successful candidate will provide financial insights that drive the company's strategic decisions, profitability, and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive financial models to support business leaders in strategic decision-making. This includes forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
2. Conduct thorough financial analysis of company performance, identifying trends and variances that could impact business operations and profitability.
3. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
4. Collaborate with various departments to understand their budgetary needs and constraints, and create tailored financial plans.
5. Use advanced Excel skills to manipulate large data sets, automate repetitive tasks, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
6. Present financial information and recommendations to senior management, providing them with the tools and knowledge to make informed business decisions.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes, and assess their potential financial impacts on the company.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure robust financial management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or a related field, preferably in the technology industry.
3. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, macros, and other functions necessary for financial modeling and analysis.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Demonstrated experience in creating and managing budgets, and an understanding of financial forecasting techniques.
6. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
8. Proven ability to work collaboratively across different teams and effectively influence decision-making.
9. Proficiency with financial software and applications.
10. Self-starter with a high level of professional maturity and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
11. CFA or CPA certification is a plus.
