Job Details

As the Controller overseeing our expansive product distribution operations, you will take the financial reins of a complex and dynamic network. This role is central to the financial integrity and performance of our distribution footprint across North America. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage accounting functions, drive process improvements, and guide the financial strategy of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:
Lead the preparation of consolidated financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
Drive the budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities
Analyze financial performance; deliver variance insights to executive and regional leaders
Partner with corporate and distribution teams to communicate financial results and opportunities

Accounting and Controls:
Oversee general ledger accuracy, accruals, and vendor payment compliance
Monitor and enforce internal controls, ensuring audit and SOX readiness
Develop and implement accounting policies for the Distribution network
Coordinate fixed asset accounting and lease allocations

Receivables & Inventory Management:
Manage credit risk and ensure timely customer collections
Review aging reports and lead efforts on doubtful account reserves
Track inventory balances, reconcile in-transit movements, and analyze inventory turns
Collaborate with the costing team to monitor pricing and standard cost fluctuations

Audit & Strategic Projects:
Conduct site-level financial audits and support internal audit activities
Participate in acquisition integration and system implementations
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimization

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred, but not required)
Solid background in product distribution or cost accounting
Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial analysis (FP&A) is a strong plus
Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Oracle R12, Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, or similar ERP systems a plus
Skilled communicator and leader, capable of collaborating across departments
Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
