Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: St. Charles, MO (on-site)
Target Salary: $100-115k+ depending on experience (20% bonus – may double)

The Job:
A leading manufacturer seeking a strong Controller to join the well-established, growing, and dynamic division of a global company.

The Controller will report directly to top managers and will be responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities of the manufacturing facility. The Controller, working with other management, will have ownership of achieving the facility performance metrics including expense management and profitability. The Controller will lead the creation of the financial budgets and will work closely with other members of the senior leadership team. The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team including functional responsibility for general & cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Controller will be the gatekeeper for internal controls for the location as well as coordinating the year end audit PBC request. The Controller will educate management and regarding finance and accounting procedures as well as be a strong business partner to the operations team.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Financial record and preparation of financial statements and analysis must be prepared monthly
  • Monitors and oversee all the accounting operations
  • Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Works with all departments to produce annual budgets and forecasts for the division
  • Works with external auditors
  • Must ensure company is compliant with local, state, and federal government entities
  • Management of accounting staff
  • Implement processes to control manufacturing costs and maintain systems to monitor profitability
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Controller preferred
  • 8 years of overall combined accounting and cost accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, Master’s degree preferred
  • CMA/CPA preferred
  • Recent experience with Oracle NetSuite
  • Strong computer skills including MS Teams, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision
  • Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Accounting skills to include treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R and credit.
