We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role requires a highly experienced and meticulous individual with a strong background in fire alarm systems and security technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems, including CCTV and security systems. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a valid Fire Alarm License (FAL).
Responsibilities:
1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various fire alarm systems and devices to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with safety standards and codes.
2. Perform routine checks and tests on fire alarm systems to detect any faults or malfunctions early.
3. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems, including CCTV and security systems.
4. Provide technical assistance and guidance on fire alarm systems during the design and installation phases of manufacturing projects.
5. Identify potential risks or issues with fire alarm systems and propose effective solutions.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all inspections, maintenance work, installations, and repairs.
7. Train staff on proper fire alarm system use and emergency response procedures.
8. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fire alarm technology and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Valid Fire Alarm License (FAL) is mandatory.
3. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, CCTV, and security systems.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong knowledge of safety codes and regulations related to fire alarm systems.
7. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
10. Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various conditions.
