We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our innovative Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for safety and a solid background in fire protection systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring the highest level of safety standards are met. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a particular focus on sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition at all times.
2. Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet all necessary codes and standards.
3. Identify potential issues or malfunctions in fire alarm systems and rectify them promptly.
4. Provide technical support and guidance on fire alarm systems to other team members and clients.
5. Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of fire alarm systems, including any repairs or maintenance performed.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest fire protection technologies and industry trends.
7. Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop and implement fire protection strategies.
8. Provide training to staff and clients on the correct use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
9. Respond to emergency call-outs for fire alarm systems malfunctions or failures.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or a similar role in the engineering industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, with a particular focus on sprinkler systems.
3. Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems effectively.
4. Excellent understanding of fire safety codes and regulations.
5. Proven ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations effectively.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. A professional certification in fire alarm systems is highly desirable.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
