Job Details
**Generous base salary. This position is eligible for incentive plan and monthly vehicle allowance.**

Job Responsibilities:
Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department. Once developed, work collaboratively with District Management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales goals.
Locate & qualify desired & targeted projects. Foster local customer relationships resulting in tangible sales.
Take an active role in the industry associations and the customer community in order to develop and grow the brand in this market.
Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing technical support.
Ensure adequate attention is given to the attainment of overall profit objectives throughout the sales and execution process.
Develop layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.
Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required to complete turnover/billing packages is given to operations staff in a timely manner.
Seek out new customers to expand customer base - willingness to engage in some “cold calling” to develop new accounts will be required.
Project management of projects sold may be required.
Estimate related service work & small projects including day-work as required.
Qualifications:
10 or more years of fire sprinkler sales experience required.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards.
Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Completion of college degree in business, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).
Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Previous sprinkler design experience, including performing hydraulic calculations preferred.
Fire sprinkler project management skills/experience preferred.
Must have the ability to close sales and handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales process.
Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
