Job Details

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor firmwide and practice-group initiatives aimed at enhancing attorney skills, encompassing professional and client services abilities, as well as technical, substantive, and practice-specific legal expertise.
Evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of training programs and curriculum regularly, adjusting as necessary to align with the firm’s strategic objectives and evolving needs.
Collaborate closely with firm management, practice group leaders, and attorneys to identify training needs and implement effective programs, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Work alongside the training and development team, legal personnel, and practice management to engage internal and external presenters, elevate program delivery standards, update existing content, and introduce new learning opportunities.
Design and expand programs catering to attorneys at different stages of their career journey, ensuring comprehensive support from orientation to ongoing development.
Oversee the advancement of Fenwick University programs, ensuring alignment with the firm's growth and the development of legal talent.
Manage attorney orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the firm, supported by a dedicated team.
Ensure compliance with CLE requirements firmwide, including obtaining accreditation in key states, and oversee attorney bar admissions and continued compliance efforts.
Cultivate relationships with external consultants, coaches, and speakers, and maintain active involvement in relevant professional organizations and networks.
Stay abreast of talent development trends and innovations, both within and outside the legal industry, and integrate best practices into training and development initiatives.
Enhance mentorship and advisor programs in collaboration with legal personnel, practice management, and diversity teams, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Lead the onboarding process for first-year and lateral attorney hires, collaborating with legal personnel, practice management, and recruiting teams for effective implementation.
Collaborate with the business development team to support external training offerings and facilitate career development opportunities.
Evaluate and implement e-Learning opportunities based on practice group needs.
Recruit, mentor, and motivate the training and development team, ensuring effective program execution and professional growth.
Manage the training and development budgeting process and expenditures.
