Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge firmware solutions for our next-generation products. This exciting role involves working on a wide range of technologies including laser, infrared, lidar, and sensors.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, code, test, and debug system firmware.
2. Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
3. Interface with hardware design and development.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
5. Work on bug fixing and improving firmware performance.
6. Operate within Linux environment on various SOM platforms interfaced with sensor hardware
and human interfaces.
7. Provide post-production support by identifying, recreating, and resolving defects.
8. Develop firmware for various embedded systems including lasers, sensors, cameras, microdisplays, and infrared cameras.
9. Collaborate with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware components.
10. Contribute to the development of human interfaces and OLED technologies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in firmware engineering.
3. Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
4. Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
5. Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
6. Strong programming skills in Python, C, and C++.
7. Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
8. Experience with lasers, sensors, cameras, microdisplays, and infrared cameras.
9. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
10. Knowledge of different microprocessors and microcontrollers, and their architecture.
11. Familiarity with OLED technology and human interfaces.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
