Job Details
We are on the hunt for an exceptional Fixed Assets Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining and managing our fixed assets and setting up depreciations.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the fixed assets of the company, ensuring they are properly classified, capitalized, and depreciated
2. Setting up depreciation schedules for all fixed assets and ensuring they are accurately reflected in the company's financial statements
3. Identify new internal cost capitalization opportunities and operationalize the capitalization
4. Analyzing the company's expenditures, identifying which items should be capitalized as fixed assets, and which should be expensed
5. Reviewing and updating the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
6. Prepare variance of monthly depreciation
7. Prepare monthly reconciliations for all fixed assets related accounts
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
3. CPA with Public Accounting Experience preferred
4. A strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles related to fixed assets and depreciation
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
6. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output
7. Strong computer skills, particularly in accounting software and MS Excel
