We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Food Production & QA Supervisor to join our team in the Engineering industry. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of food production, quality assurance, and food safety. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of food production processes, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance. This role will involve working closely with various departments, ensuring that all food products meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate all activities related to food production, ensuring adherence to established schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
2. Implement and monitor HACCP plans, ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and standards.
3. Oversee food packaging processes, ensuring that all products are packaged safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
4. Develop and implement sanitation procedures, ensuring that all production areas and equipment are clean and safe for food production.
5. Liaise with USDA and FDA representatives, ensuring that all production activities are in compliance with federal regulations.
6. Implement and monitor GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in all food production activities.
7. Conduct food sensory tests, ensuring that all products meet the desired taste, texture, and aroma standards.
8. Lead a team of quality assurance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
9. Investigate and resolve any issues related to food quality or safety, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
10. Prepare and present quality reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in food production, quality assurance, or a related role.
2. Proven experience with HACCP, food safety, food packaging, sanitation, USDA, FDA, GMP, and food sensory tests.
3. Strong knowledge of food production processes and quality control systems.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
9. Certification in food safety or quality assurance would be an added advantage.
