Responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
- Manage plant laboratory operations, including supplies and equipment.
- Oversee third-party sanitation companies.
- Ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to the Food Safety Modernization Act.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality and process optimization.
- Lead coaching, education, and training for management and plant employees in Quality Assurance.
- Develop and maintain HACCP, FDA, and USDA programs.
- Ensure compliance with SQF/BRC audit requirements.
- Supervise chemical, bacteriological, sensory, and utilization tests on raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate cross-functionally as a change agent.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of QA experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of USDA and FDA.
- Knowledge of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
- SQF Practitioner and/or GFSI certified.
- Process Control Qualified Individual.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Working knowledge of sanitation systems and clean-in-place techniques.
