We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Safety Quality Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role that requires a professional with a strong background in dairy products, particularly cream and milk. The individual will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our food safety and quality programs. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring food safety systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the quality of our products and the success of our business.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and implementation of food safety and quality systems, including FMSA, EMP, FSQ, HACCP, and CoA.
2. Oversee the management of the SQF (Safe Quality Food) program to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
3. Develop and maintain a robust Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify the effectiveness of our food safety systems and identify areas for improvement.
5. Manage and resolve any food safety and quality issues that arise, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to our production team, promoting a culture of food safety and quality throughout the organization.
7. Work closely with other departments to ensure that food safety and quality considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
8. Stay abreast of the latest developments in food safety and quality management, implementing new strategies and technologies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety or quality management role in the food manufacturing industry, with a particular focus on dairy products.
3. In-depth knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including FMSA, EMP, FSQ, HACCP, and CoA.
4. Proven experience in managing the SQF (Safe Quality Food) program.
5. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve food safety and quality issues.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex food safety and quality concepts to a diverse audience.
8. A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in food safety and quality management.
