We are looking for an innovative and passionate individual to join our team as a Food Scientist. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the food science field, particularly in confectionery products and/or baked goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating new food products, enhancing the taste and quality of existing products, and ensuring all products meet the highest safety and quality standards.
This is an onsite role, so you will ideally need to be located within a commutable distance and/or open to relocation.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop new product ideas and recipes, and reformulate existing products to meet specific customer requirements and market trends.
2. Conduct pilot testing of new products, including stability testing, sensory evaluation, and shelf life testing.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
4. Utilize scientific methods to identify and evaluate the safety, quality, and nutritional value of products.
5. Stay updated on the latest food science technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
6. Provide technical support to production teams and address any issues related to product quality.
7. Conduct regular product testing to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
8. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, specifically in consumer product goods, confectionery, and baked goods.
3. Extensive experience in pilot testing, product development, and product testing.
4. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in using various software and technology for product development and testing.
