POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing the manufacturing processes and recipes of food products. Work on existing and newly discovered ingredients and technologies to invent new recipes and concepts and modify foods to create new products. Conduct tests to determine the physical or chemical properties of food or beverages to ensure compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations regarding color, texture and nutrients.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
Modify existing products and processes and developing new one.
Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts.
Supports sales, production, QA and key customers with new products and processing
Carrying out process support and development, new product development, and quality attributes.
Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety on how /or optimized products.
Liaising and cooperating with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales and technical services, and marketing and distribution.
Create new or optimize products from bench top to commercialization.
Conduct shelf life testing on optimize or new products.
Product matching, new product development, ingredient qualification, shelf life stability and cost optimization.
Develops food products from concept to commercialization.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Food Science or related discipline.
Master's Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Food Science or related discipline.
Experience:
Four plus years of experience in product design experience in a consumer products company.
Experience in products development and hands on bench work.

- Develops nutritional labeling, ingredient statements and regulatory documentation.
- Develops specifications as well as providing customer technical support.
- Provides technical support in the scale-up and successful execution of plant trials.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Food Science or related discipline.
Master's Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Food Science or related discipline.
Experience:
Four plus years of experience in product design experience in a consumer products company.
