We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Foreman for our growing construction business. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a deep understanding of the construction process and the ability to lead a team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning and design to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in conveyor lines, electrical work, risk management, team leadership, equipment maintenance, structural steel, fabrication, erection, and safety. This role requires a certified welder with a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality control, and exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors on all projects.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and plan layouts to ensure project accuracy and quality.
3. Oversee the operation and maintenance of construction equipment and machinery, including conveyor lines.
4. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols, and proactively manage risk on the construction site.
5. Manage the fabrication and erection of structural steel components.
6. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and identify any potential issues or risks.
7. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
8. Lead, motivate, and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
10. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects on project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Certified welder with extensive experience in structural steel, fabrication, and erection.
3. Proven experience with conveyor lines and equipment maintenance.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and structural drawings.
7. Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
9. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
10. A strong understanding of risk management in the construction industry.
11. A commitment to quality control and maintaining high standards in all work.
12. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
